Exploring the New Collections Launched on Flow in 2023
In this analysis, we will explore the latest collections launched on Flow, a renowned NFT blockchain, in 2023. While Flow boasts several popular collections, such as NBA Top Shot and NFL All Day, our focus here is on the newly introduced collections after the start of the new year.
To conduct this analysis, I delved into the Flow blockchain and examined the following parameters:
- Launched Projects
- Overall sales of new collections
- Total and Weekly Sales per Collection
- Top Profitable users and collections
- Users Behavior
- Average Price of New Collections By considering these parameters, we aim to provide an overview of the new collections on Flow and their performance after 2023.

The table below provides an overview of the 25 new collections launched on Flow.
Let's begin by examining the overall activities of the new collections on Flow after their launch before delving into sales activities per collection.
Regarding user engagement, the new collections on Flow attracted a total of 2.7K unique buyers and 2.69K unique sellers. The ratio of buyers to sellers was relatively balanced. Initially, from the launch until April 2023, the number of buyers and sellers remained below 100. However, there was a notable increase after this period, with the combined number of buyers and sellers reaching up to 2K.
It is likely that a new collection was launched during this time that gained significant success. We will explore this further in the next section.
Regarding sales transactions, the trend mirrored that of user activity. Initially, sales were relatively low, with fewer than 300 transactions until mid-April. However, after this period, there was a substantial increase, peaking at 8.7K weekly sales. Overall, the new collections on Flow accumulated 34K sales.
Since January 2023, the new collections on Flow have generated $1.1 million in sales. There were two significant spikes in the total sales volume. The first occurred during the last week of January, with a total sales volume of $233,000. The second spike occurred around the last week of April, reaching a total sales volume of $245,000.
These increases are likely attributed to the launch of two new collections, which we will explore further in the next section.
The average price of the new collections initially began at $150, but it experienced a rapid decline and has recently reached a price of nearly $7. On average, the price of the new collections settled at around $32. The highest-priced NFT sold from these collections reached a value of $4,400.
Before we explore the individual new collections, let's assess their market share compared to other collections on Flow. Unfortunately, the new collections could not capture a significant portion of transactions and volume. In terms of transactions, they accounted for only 1.5% of the total, while their share was 3.4% in sales volume.
It is evident that established collections such as Topshot or NFL ALL Day still maintain the highest share of transactions and volume on the Flow blockchain.
