NEAR LABELS

A plethora of new labels have been added to Flipside's NEAR labels table. Using the labels, dive into which specific projects and project types (defi, nfts, etc) generate the most gas fees, have the most users, and have the highest number of transactions per user. Next, dig a little deeper and see if you can find which project types and which projects have the stickiest(repeat) users!

NEAR protocol is a layer 1 blockchain with big ambitions. With its declared mission to put usability first and change the world of web3, NEAR is set to open out the web3 space to millions of new developers, programmers, and users.

As a smart contract enabled, layer 1 blockchain, NEAR Protocol has inevitably been positioned as a competitor to the Ethereum network, and is placed alongside a handful of other layer 1 networks such as Polkadot and Solana as ways to provide more scalable alternatives to Ethereum.

Within this, NEAR distinguishes itself with its ambitious speeds, which are set to reach 100,000 tps once it is fully implemented, making it capable of speeds well and beyond the current 7000 tps of Visa. Throw in transactions that reach finality in 1–2 seconds and that cost less than a penny, and it’s no wonder why many developers are flocking to NEAR.

in this dashboard we will take a look at NEAR protocol But this time specifically on Labels part. In more details talking about labels which added to the system since user-selectable timeframe.

At the end you will have enough informations about most gas used, Most transactions fees, Most Users And most repeated users by each project type .

1- Defi: DeFi or Decentralized Finance are blockchain-based financial instruments. While centralized financial instruments are bogged down by lack of interoperability and red tape, DeFi apps are like Lego blocks that users can join together to create new instruments.

2-Ecosystem: The crypto ecosystem. Cryptocurrencies are part of a broader ecosystem that extends well beyond digital tokens to the underlying blockchains as well as the necessary infrastructure to support mining and storage.

3-Dao: A decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) is an emerging form of legal structure that has no central governing body and whose members share a common goal to act in the best interest of the entity. Popularized through cryptocurrency enthusiasts and blockchain technology, DAOs are used to make decisions in a bottom-up management approach.

4-Dapps:Decentralized applications, or dApps, are software programs that run on a blockchain or peer-to-peer (P2P) network of computers instead of on a single computer. DApps (also called "dapps") are thus outside the purview and control of a single authority.

DApps are often built on the Ethereum platform. They have been developed for a variety of purposes including gaming, finance, and social media.

these were some of the important label types or project types to look at and get familiar with

In this Dashboard i have used near.core labels address and transactions tables. And i have NOT gatherd which are Uncategorizes or with No Names. So the numbers might be a bit different with other dashboards.

Also the charts are in 30 days default timeframe, At the time of writing this dashboard Flipside has a bit of problem with more than 30 days of timeframe . The charts would get errors maybe with timeframes higher than 30 days there will be problem loading .

    Transactions
    Gas and Users

On the charts above you can see the transactions and transactions fees of the label types On Near blockchain based on default 30 days metrics on the first bar chart transactions number in total which education and ecosystem are the two leading project types next to it the transaction fees ecosystem with a huge gap leading the group of project types but on average transaction per user you can see Dapp project type is higher than the others.

The above charts shows the stats about the users on each Project type on Near protocol and then about Gas used on each project type. And the top10 project types with repeated users .

    labels

Labels are short, easy-to-remember words for long, complicated wallet addresses. For example, it is alot easier to remember the label "homewallet" than it is to remember the wallet address "DFi9yMNjBqq1rdjDmJwnkncXYxj72yU".

    conclusion

We saw many Labels with differrent metrics. which showed us that many users are on this blockchain with differrent tastes(project types) . And most of them of course showed they are really interested in some of the projects by being sticky to them. also there is more room for users to get more into NEAR protocol and dig more inside.
