What is Osmosis?

Osmosis is a decentralized peer-to-peer blockchain that people can use to create liquidity and trade IBC enabled tokens. The Osmosis blockchain is made up of free, public, and open-source software.

How will we define Whales

In this dasgboard Whales will be defined as users who have swapped over 1,000 Times on Osmosis these are wallests who are exteemly heavy users of Osmosis.

Methodology

• We will breakdown users into whales and non whales

• We will look at both groups swaps on Osmosis and see if we can see a difference in behavior

Osmosis User Metrics

Observations

• In terms of swaps whales on Osmosis swap up to 20,000 times each day

• The top assets 2 swapped by whales are OSMO and ATOM. These asset are swapped 2x any other assets by whales

Conclusion

• The daily Number of swaps by normal users fluctuate much more than Whales on Osmosis.

• Both Whales and Non-Whales are swapping ATOM and OSMO the most.

• Since July 2021 the number of Non-Whales have become the majority of swappers on Osmosis.

• Whales participate much more than normal users on Osmosis.
