What is Uniswap?

Uniswap is a dex build on both the ethereum and polygon blockchain. The dex facilitates automated transactions between erc20 tokens using smatcontracts. UNI is the native token of the Uniswap dex and can be used to vote on Uniswap governance proposals.

What is Susiswap?

Sushiswap is a forked version of Uniswap V2 that has been built on many chains including Ethereum, Polygon, Harmony, and Avalanche. SUSHI is the native token of Sushiswap. The token entitles holders to a portion of dex swap fees and governance proposal voting rites.

Uniswap on Ethereum

The two figures above show the total number of swaps and users on the top dexs on Ethereum. Currently both Susiswap and Uniswap v3 have about 100 active users each day and uniswap v2 has 180 active users. Both Uniswap V2 and V3 are dominant in the number of swaps per day compared to Sushiswap and Curve.

Most Used Uniswap pools on Ethereum

The graph above shows the top 10 Uniswap pools by number of users in the past month. The three most popular pools are WETH-USDT, WETH-WBTC, and WITH-USDC; these two pools are very popular on buth Uniswap v2 and Uniswap v3.

Uniswap on Polygon

The two graphs above show the total Daily number of users and swaps on Uniswap on polygon. These graphs show that there was a huge jump in the number of users and transactions on polygon Uniswap in mid december of 2021.

The graph above shows the total number of Sushi Swap swaps per day on polygon. The data shows that there was a big spike in swaps in august of 2021.

Conclusion

On both Ethereum and Polygon Uniswap has a similar number of daily active users to their competitors, but the number of trades that those users execute is much greaters so they have many more swaps than other dexs.
