Hackathon Results

Flow is hosting a hackathon to bolster the development activity on the Flow blockchain. How many new projects have been created so far? Track new contracts on Flow and any user activity on these new projects. How many users have tried a new contract that has been created in the past month? How much volume have these projects generated?

    Introduction

Welcome to the Flow Hackathon Analysis Dashboard, your one-stop destination to track the development activity and user engagement on the Flow blockchain during this exciting event. As developers from around the world gather to create innovative projects, our dashboard provides you with real-time insights into the number of newly-created projects, user interactions with these projects, and the overall transfers to these contracts.

Our interactive dashboard presents an overview of the key metrics you need to monitor the progress of the hackathon. Featuring a sleek and user-friendly design, it allows you to:

    1. Keep track of the total number of projects created on the Flow blockchain during the hackathon, with the ability to filter results by date and project type.
    2. Monitor user activity on newly-created contracts, providing data on the total number of users who have tried a new contract within the past month, as well as their interactions and transaction details.
    3. Analyze the transfer to these projects to gain insights into the economic impact of the hackathon on the Flow ecosystem.

Stay informed and engaged with the Flow Hackathon Analysis Dashboard as you explore the vibrant world of blockchain development and witness the birth of the next generation of groundbreaking projects.

    Methodology

In this dashboard I am going to be primarily focusing on three tables flow.core.fact_events, flow.core.fact_transactions, and flow.core.ez_token_transfers. From fact_events I will be able to find the contracts that have been deployed as well as the types of events the contracts tend to be invovled in. From the transactions table I will gather data the amount of interactions users are having with these contracts as well as the amount of users interacting with these contracts. Lastly I will be using the transfers table to observe the amount of transfers going to each of the respective contracts. From all this data I will be able to determine the reveleance and popularity of these contracts overall as well as overtime to see how they have developed from when they were first deployed.

    What is Flow?

The Flow playground, launched in 2020, allows developers to create and trade a particular type of digital asset called a non-fungible token (NFT). An NFT is like other crypto assets in how it can be bought, sold and exchanged over the internet without a middleman.
