how have the number of application calls changed in the first 6 months of 2022 compared to the last 6 months of 2021?

For reaching to a good result for this bounty, I checked “flipside_prod_db.algorand.application_call_transaction” table for number of blockes and app_IDs.

In the above charts you can see the daily number of distinct senders in two selected period of times. In both of the daily charts, you can see spikes in number of senders in some specific days.

In total, number of senders in first half of 2022 is about 3 times bigger than the total number of senders in second half of 2021.

In the above charts you can see the daily number of distinct blocks and app_IDs in two selected period of times. In second half of 2021 we see a growing trend in number of blocks and app_IDs in first 4 months then it became stable while in first half of 2022, number of blocks was stable to some extent and number of app_IDs had spikes in some days.

In total, number of blocks in first half of 2022 is bigger than the total number of blocks in second half of 2021.

While in total, number of distinct app_IDs in first half of 2022 is smaller than the total number of distinct app_IDs in second half of 2021.

In the above charts you can see the average number of TX calls per block in two selected period of times. In the 2022 chart, you can see spikes in some specific days.

In total, the average number of TX calls per block in second half of 2021 is about 2 times bigger than the average number of TX calls per block in first half of 2022.
