Bridge Users (Hop Protocol)

Q1. How many unique users have bridged to L2s using Hop? What days in the past 6 months have seen the most volume bridged, and were there any specific events that may have driven these spikes? Which assets have been bridged the most? Show an analysis of the asset distribution of bridging through Hop.

    What is Hop Protocol?

Hop is a scalable rollup-to-rollup general token bridge. It allows users to send tokens from one rollup to another almost immediately without having to wait for the rollup’s challenge period.

    In this dashboard I analyzed:

    • The number of Wallets and transactions
    • Total transfers in the past 180 days
    • Transfer details about each asset

    Past 180 Days

In the next 2 graphs, you can see the total volume of bridges (in USD) in the past 180 days with Bitcoin and Ethereum prices (respectively) as references.
On March 28th, 2022 when both Bitcoin and Ethereum prices increased sharply, it reached to its highest USD value (11.59M $)

The following graph shows the daily amount of each asset (in USD), transferred through Hop Protocol in the past 180 days.

As you can see, on most days, ETH had the highest USD volume of transfers and on March 28th, 2022 it reached the highest USD value (9.77M $)

The following graphs show the total amount of each asset (in USD), transferred through Hop Protocol in the past 180 days.

ETH was the most valuable transferred asset with a total value of 421M $ (65.3% of transfers). After that we had USDC (26.9%), DAI (3.9%), USDT (3.25%), MATIIC (0.65%) and WBTC (almost 0).

The following graphs show the total number of wallets and the total number of transactions related to the transfer of each asset (respectively).
