Monitor the Flow: User Activity
On this dashboard: You can view monthly and daily active wallets, new wallets, classification of wallets by activity and classification of wallets according to frequency of use in the Flow blockchain. Additionally, I will look into the reasons for an increase on active wallets reported by MetricsDAO.
Key Terms for Dashboard
1) What is Flow blockchain?
Flow is a blockchain designed to enable fast, secure, and developer-friendly decentralized applications (dapps). It was created by Dapper Labs, and is designed to support high-throughput, low-latency transactions. Flow is built to handle not only the simple transfers of value that most blockchains support, but also complex smart contracts and digital assets. To learn more about Flow
2) What is wallets in the terms of blockchain?
In the context of blockchain, a wallet is a software application or hardware device that is used to securely store, manage, and interact with cryptocurrency assets.
3) How do wallets get benefit from Flow blockchain?
In the case of Flow blockchain, wallets can be used to store and manage digital assets and currencies that are built on the Flow network. Because Flow is designed to support complex smart contracts and digital assets, wallets that are built for the Flow network can offer additional functionality, such as the ability to interact with NFTs (non-fungible tokens) or other specialized digital assets that are built on the Flow network.
4) What is Contracts on Flow?
Flow contracts are smart contracts that are written and executed on the Flow blockchain. Smart contracts are self-executing programs that are stored on a blockchain and automatically enforce the rules and regulations that are defined in the contract code. Flow contracts are designed to be easy to write and deploy, while also providing the security and reliability that is required for decentralized applications.
On the Dashboard You'll See:
Monthly Active Users(MAUs): A tab reserved for those who want to monitor the monthly active user growth in the Flow blockchain.
Daily Active Users(DAUs): A tab reserved for those who want to monitor the daily active user growth on the Flow blockchain. In addition, you can select the desired time period in the above parameters (by default, some dates have been entered to make it easier to detect the recent increase).
All-Time Wallets: Tab with an overview of when wallets on the Flow blockchain were created and how often they are used.
DAUs Spikes: Our final goal is to investigate which Flow contracts the recent increase belongs to and possible causes.
Good reviews!
