I want to compare the Luna wealth distribution with the global wealth distribution for the simple reason that crypto and also terra luna are globaly spread and distributed.
Does this distribution of wealth within Terra Luna Ecosystem also reflect the distribution of wealth of world?
Classification of wallets holding Luna:

Actually we only have 6 whales, holding at least 10 Million Luna or more in their wallets, in the Terra Ecosystem.
If we take a look at the top 100 wallets holding Luna, it looks like whales are rather rare and most of Luna is distributed over many other wallets.
But is this really true? How much do these whales hold in total? And how much is this of the total circulating Luna?
Checking the chart above, we can see that there is a huge drop in circulating Luna supply on the 1st of December 2021. Before that, the amount was relatively stable at around +/- 700 million Luna.
Conclusion 1
In the Terra Luna Ecosystem it is like in all other crpyto ecosystems. A handful of whales are holding significant amounts of tokens. Talking about numbers, this means, that those 6 whales (0.0002%) hold around 79 million Luna from a total of 631 million. That is about 12.5% of the total circulating supply, which is massive.
At snapshots time (22.01.2022) the amount of circulating Luna is at approx. 631 million. Compared to the last high on December 1, there are about 100 million luna less in circulation.
The top five wallets are holding 79 million Luna in total!
Compared to the total circulating Luna, this represents more than one-eighth of the total Luna supply. That's a lot of Luna for only five addresses! Isn't it?
Attention: I had to exclude some wallets, like those Terrafrom Labs, Luna Foundation Guard, DEXs, contracts etc. because these wallets usually hold a huge amounts, but should not count as whales. Only liquid luna from terra.daily_balances were considered and I took a snapshot of all the data from January 22, 2022!
So only 0.0002% (5 from 2,994,131) Luna wallets are holding 12.5% of all circulating Luna!

To compare Terra Luna with global wealth we have to check 1% of Luna wallets holding circulating supply of Luna. In this case 1% are around 29,940 wallets.
This 1% are holding 193 million Luna ...
... which are about 30.5% of all circulating Luna. In global wealth distribution, 1% of the population are holding 45.8% of all wealth, which are 191.6 trillion Dollar.
