The charts above show the increase of used programs on the Solana Blockchain since the beginning of 2022. You can clearly see in the monthly chart that the number of used programs is increasing month by month. We can see the same in the daily chart, however, we can also see that the previous strong growth since the beginning of the year has stagnated somewhat since may, so number of programs is growing but not as fast as at the beginning of the year. June was the strongest month in case of Number of Programs with 1793 unique programs. In total we have 2920 Programs on Solana at the moment!
The growth in the programs is no longer quite as strong, but the number continues to grow. That means the bear market is only slightly visible here and doesn’t have a strong impact on program growth. (Others call it Solana Summer 😎)
The chart above shows the number of daily transactions on the Solana Blockchain ordered by Type. We can see that the usage of DEX is increasing very strong in the past weeks. We can also see, when we have a look at NFT (double click), that the number of transaction of type NFT had very high numbers at the beginning of the year and decreased strongly in the middle of February (16th). Since then, we have seen only a weak increase in the figures for NFT. Since the middle of May the numbers are a bit stronger.
The chart on the left (linear) and the chart on the right (log) shows the total number of transactions by type.
DEX is the most used Program Type on Solana with 3.9 Billion transactions, followed by NFT (37.6 Million), DeFi (17.7 Million), DApps (200k) and Layer 2 (4k). I excluded chadmin in this list, because those are Solana System Programs.

Conclusion
- Number of daily transactions are still increasing.
- The still growing numbers of unique Programs is an indicator for an ongoing development of new programs also in the bear market.
- NFTs are not so popular this year, only Magic Eden was in Janaury in the Top 5. NFTs are in a downtrend.
- DEXs and Dex Aggregartors dominate the Top 5 and are the most popular type of programs on Solana these days. DEXs are in an uptrend.
- Serum (DEX), Mango Market (DEX) and Raydium (AMM) are the by far most popular!
- Winners of the past weeks are by far Serum Dex v3 followed by Mango Market, which both gained a lot of transactions!
- 2920 Programms on Solana, 1793 were ‘used’ in June.

The chart below shows the DEX and NFT programs with daily number of transactions. We can clearly see that June/July is a strong month on Solana and Magic Eden and Serum are very popular these days. But this chart is too messy, thats why I concentrate on the Top 5 in the next charts!
The bar chart above (left) shows the Top 5 programs used on Solana since the beginning of the year. Serum (DEX), Mango Market (DEX) and Raydium (AMM) are the by far most popular!
Looking at the chart above (right) we see some more details on the monthly Top 5. This looks a bit different, because the Top 5 changes (a bit) from month to month and also the usage changes month to month.
- Serum was very popular in the first 3 month and then again in June.
- Raydium is very constant in its usage every month.
- Mango Market is just growing, April and May were not so strong, but June again is the strongest month this year so far.
- Jupiter Aggregator is also getting stronger and had the highest number in May.
- Orca (DEX) was only strong in May and in the Top 5.
- Magic Eden (NFT Marketplace) was only strong in January and in the Top 5.
- Zeta Dex was always in the Top 5 and numbers are growing, expect May. What happened in May? (I googled and checked twitter, but couldn’t find anything beside an update news.)
The chart below shows the changes in popularity and more details month by month of the Top 5 programs on Solana since the beginning of the year.
At least we want to find out if Solana is still alive in the bear market by looking at the number of transaction.
Generally Solana looks very healthy and active. The Graph on the left shows the daily number of transactions on Solana Blockchain, since the beginning of 2022, which are still growing day by day, even in the current bear market.
