Methodology

First we will look at the total long and short contracts bought on Opyn.

Then we will look at the daily long and short contracts bought on Opyn.

Finally we will look at liquidations.

A total of 9101 wallets have cumulatively bought ~348K osQTH worth of long contracts in 16,568 transactions resulting in an average value of ~38 osQTH per wallet and ~21 osQTH per transaction.

A total of 654 wallets have cumulatively bought ~171K osQTH worth of short contracts in 1,565 transactions resulting in an average value of ~261 osQTH per wallet and ~109 osQTH per transaction.

The above charts show the daily amount, daily number of addresses and daily number of transactions of long option contracts on Opyn along with their 7 day averages.

The amount of long contracts reached a peak of ~22.3K osQTH on 15th June while the number of wallets and number of transactions reached a peak of 260 and 303 on 7th May and 21st May respectively.

The amount of short contracts reached a peak of ~7.9K osQTH on 19th June while the number of wallets and number of transactions reached a peak of 58 and 59 respectively on 10th Feb.

Liquidations

Opyn contracts are designed in such a way that there can be no liquidations on the long side.

On the short side, liquidations are possible but there have been no liquidations.

Summary

• A total of 9101 wallets have cumulatively bought ~348K osQTH worth of long contracts in 16,568 transactions resulting in an average value of ~38 osQTH per wallet and ~21 osQTH per transaction.
