Terradash Part 3: Development

We’re working with Terra to rebuild the great Terradash, a dazzling dashboard full of analytic insights — and we need your help! We’ll be building out this new and improved Terradash in parts. For our penultimate challenge, we’ll dive deep into development activity on-chain. Construct a dashboard that displays the number of new contracts deployed and the total number of contracts deployed each week over the past several months. Your dashboard should also chart the development of stablecoins, including any supply trends. We are not looking for data on Terra Classic for this bounty. Please use the terra.core tables hosted on Flipside Crypto. The final product at the end of this series will be a comprehensive dashboard combining together multiple aspects of the Terra blockchain. We want this to be highly shareable with a focus on UI/UX-- so keep this in mind during the early stages!

    Introduction:

    • Terra (LUNA) is a public blockchain protocol that emerged from Terra Classic. Terra Classic was home to the algorithmic stablecoin TerraClassicUSD (UST).
    • It's now-renamed LUNC token collateralized UST, which crashed in a bank run in May 2022.
    • That devalued LUNA to virtually zero and caused a launch of a new chain — resulting in Terra Classic and Terra.
    • In this dashboard, we are going to look at the following things:
      • Number of contracts deployed and number of active contracts on the Terra blockchain
      • Number of contract senders and number of active contract senders
      • Analysis of Deployed Contracts by labels, sub labels and project name
      • Stablecoin swaps (volume, number of swappers and number of swaps for axlUSDC and axlUSDT)

    • axlUSDC is much more popular than axlUSDT in terms of all the statistics.
    • There was a large selloff in the week starting June 6 2022 to the tune of ~129M axlUSDC and ~47M axlUSDT.
    • Other than that, the buy volume has been consistently greater than the sell volume.
    • The number of swaps and swappers have also been consistently larger for buys than sells.
    • A total of 1,116 contracts have been deployed on the Terra blockchain.
    • The highest number of 105 contracts were deployed in the week starting July 25th 2022 and have been declining since then.
    • There are a total of 1,251 active contracts on the terra blockchain.
    • Unlike new contracts deployed, the active contracts show a consistent upward movement.
    • The share of new contracts in active contracts has been declining consistently.
    • There are a total of 321 contract senders on the Terra blockchain.
    • The highest number of 44 contract senders joined in the week starting June 6 2022 and the activity has been declining since then.
    • Just like new contract senders, the highest numbers for active contract senders were observed in the week starting 6 June 2022 and has been declining since then.
    • Looking at the labels, a majority of 89 contracts are related to tokens while defi, dex and nft make up 12, 11 and 1 contracts respectively.
    • Astroport project has the maximum number of contracts at 9.
    • Majority of the projects have 1 or 2 contracts.
