    Method

    1. We’ll measure the number of daily transactions, daily active wallets, hourly TPS, and success rate.
    2. Then we’ll compare the average levels in the past 30 days and past 1 year (365 days).
    3. We’ll also look at the failed transactions and highlight the top wallets and programs involved.

    Note:

    • Data shown below is limited to Solana data since Dec 1, 2021 only.

    > The number of daily transactions has been slightly higher in the past 30 days compared to the rest of the year (228M vs 222M).

    > > 1. Daily active wallets in the past 30 days (276k) is higher than the average for the past year (249k). > 2. Daily active wallets reached a peak since Dec 2021 sometime around the end of May 2022. > 3. It has gone back down in the past few weeks to around 240k unique wallets daily.

    > > 1. Average TPS in the past 30 days is at 2.7k transactions per second. This is higher than the average for the past year at 2.59k. > 2. TPS has temporarily dipped during May until mid-June. It has improved recently since then.

    > > 1. Average daily success rate for the past 30 days is slightly lower than the past year’s average. > 2. Success rate has dipped between May and June but has since improved recently. > 3. Recent improvement in success rate coincides with less active wallets recently.

    Conclusion

In summary, we have observed the following:

    1. In the past 30 days, Solana had a higher number of daily transactions, active wallets, and TPS compared to the rest of the past year.
    2. Success rate in the past 30 days is slightly lower compared to the rest of the past year.
    3. Success rate has improved recently compared to 2-3 months ago. This coincides with the decrease in daily active wallets recently.
    4. Among wallets and programs with failed transactions, 5AmZ…F1hK and Jupiter Aggregator V2 contributed the most failed transaction fees and transactions respectively.

    > > 1. Wallet 5AmZ…F1hK paid the largest total fees in failed transactions in the past 30 days. > 2. Jupiter Aggregator V2 is the program with the highest total number of failed transactions in the past 30 days.
