Q20. Compare the transaction volume for USDC, USDT, and DAI on Osmosis. Is there a stable coin that Osmosis users prefer?

Method :

I used the following two methods to obtain the volume of stable coin transactions:

1. Check the table on osmosis.core.fact_msg_attributes and ATTRIBUTE_VALUE ilike '%stablecoins address%'.
2. Check The number of swaps from/to stable coins on osmosis.core.fact_swaps.

Metohd 1 :

As of May 9, 2022, the number of transactions with ATTRIBUTE_VALUE including the USDC stable coin address is higher than the other two stable coins. The second place also goes to DAI.

Since May 9, the number of wallets that have interacted with USCD has been increasing, and more wallets have interacted with this stable coin.

• cumulative transactions for USDC until today : 478K transactions.
• cumulative transactions for DAI until today : 100K transactions.
• cumulative transactions for USDT until today : 12K transactions.

Method 2:

The number of swaps from/to USDC has been higher than the other two stable coins over time. DAI is in second place and USDT is in third place.

The number of wallets swapped from/to USDT has increased from April 18 to May 2, and since then the number of wallets swapped from/to the USDC has risen sharply to date. This trend has also continued.

• cumulative transactions for USDC until today : 326K transactions.
• cumulative transactions for DAI until today : 77K transactions.
• cumulative transactions for USDT until today : 51K transactions.

Concolusion :

The dominance of the three stable coins, USCD, DAI and USDT, based on the number of transactions according to the answers obtained from the above two methods, is as follows:

1. USDC
2. DAI
3. USDT
