Introduction

Thorchain is a Cosmos SDK-based cross-chain service that allows users to trade native assets on one chain for native assets on another chain using a variety of Rune Liquidity Pools. Since the RUNE token serves as the later part of each LP Pool, Thorchain may transfer assets via two swaps employing RUNE as the intermediary token. Staking cryptocurrency entails pledging your crypto assets to support and confirm transactions on a blockchain network.

Methodology

The amount of the $Thor staked is analyzed for a chosen period of time by aggregating them by date. Both $Thor and vThor data are considered here which has staked in the ecosystem are accounted for in this.

The data of the wallet stakers in the ecosystem are listed here where the wallets that have staked their assets are listed for time.

The wallets that staked the assets in the ecosystem are charted here. It displays that the highest number of people staking their Thor Assets is recorded on May 4, 2022.

The trend in the number of wallets that stake both $Thor and $vTHOR is shown here. It displays that the trend is decreasing exponentially with time such that only less than 3% of the wallets staked is currently staking than the highest day in the month.
