Astroport Liquidity and Order Flow Study

For this study we’ll utilize some available Astroport swap and reserve tables available from Flipside.

First, we’ll visualize the amount of swap volume over time. From the chart below, we can generalize that the LUNA-UST, bLUNA-LUNA, and ANC-UST pairs have consistently experienced the most trade volume over time.

Over all time periods, these 3 pairs account for over 90% of all trade volume. To simplify our future study, we’ll focus on these three pairs moving forward.

By narrowing the scope, we are able to more easily observe these trends on Terraswap and Loop Finance.

Astroport Reserves

Next, we’ll look at the data available for token reserves.

From the chart below, we see that Flipside is missing data on the bLUNA-LUNA pair (terra1j…5y8w) and we’ll have to index these in another manner.

Next steps

1. Fill in token reserve data for the bLUNA-LUNA pair.
2. Translate reserve values to USD amount
3. Merge liquidity reserve and trade volume data with an offset
4. Observe correlation between reserves and trade volume data
5. Repeat for Terraswap and Loop Finance
