User Behavior (redux)
How is user behavior different on Optimism compared to L1?

Questions to Answer
How is user behavior different on Optimism compared to L1?
Specifically, create a comparison between swaps and transactions on ETH mainnet vs Optimism, looking for things like daily swap volume, daily active users, and average volume swapped (use a single DEX for your comparison, either Uniswap or Sushiswap).
L2 is far cheaper, but by how much? What are the average fees for a swap on Optimism compared to ETH Mainnet?
Introduction
Optimism
Optimism is a fast, stable, and scalable L2 blockchain built by Ethereum developers, for Ethereum developers. Built as a minimal extension to existing Ethereum software, Optimism’s EVM-equivalent architecture scales your Ethereum apps without surprises. If it works on Ethereum, it works on Optimism at a fraction of the cost.
How does Optimism work with Ethereum?
Optimism is a Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum that can support all of Ethereum's Dapps. Instead of running all computation and data on the Ethereum network, Optimism puts all transaction data on-chain and runs computation off-chain, increasing Ethereum's transactions per second and decreasing transaction fees.
Methodology
In this Dashboard, we will first compare Ethereum and Optimism on comprehensive data, and after that, we will try to compare their details on Sushiswap.
We will use optimism.core.fact_transactions, ethereum.core.fact_transactions, optimism.sushi.ez_swaps, ethereum.sushi.ez_swaps, and ethereum.core.fact_hourly_token_prices to find parameters like transaction fees, distribution of users by their number of swaps, the number of transactions, the volume of swaps, paid fees, etc.
Conclusion
- In all reviewed total statistics Ethereum main net is ahead of Optimism by far.
- Difference of total statistics on both chains are more in Sushiswap than Mainnet
- Daily chart shows us that most of statistics are reducing for Ethereum Mainnet but on Optimism daily charts we see that in spite of growth in number of users and volume and transactions we see that fee amounts and average fee amounts has been reducing.
- On sushiswap we see same patterners which is reducing for Ethereum Mainnet and increasing for Optimism, which are swap volume in USD, average swap volume in USD, number of transactions and users.
- On sushiswap swap fees has been constantly reducing for Ethereum but its more steady and increasing for Optimism
Based on the left charts, WETH-USDC is the most popular swap pools (in terms of number of swaps) on Sushiswap in both Optimism and Ethereum chains.
- The user address 0x91aae0aafd9d2d730111b395c6871f248d7bd728 has performed the most swaps and volume of Swaps on Sushiswap in the Ethereum chain.
- thereusers address 0x45633cf115fadaeee689ca561af87fa717b47b3b has performed the most swaps , while user address 0xfedd6c84c14e4fc36154dc863e72fd068d73b250 has perfromed most volume of swaps.
